The flying field is located somewhere to the west side of Singapore ( Bukit Batok )
The only flying field which have a tarnmac runway and you get all kind of flyers there. ( hardcore, softcore, beginners, jokers and some aerobatic and 3D craze flyers ) So it's always something going on when you are there. And not forgetting Vincent too, he will normally comes in the afternoon with his plane, camera and his stories which is very entertaining.
Be it rain or shine, the same old hard core flyer will normal gather there to exchange stories, knowledge and helping other to do their setups of the aircrafts. I'm there from the morning till late in the evening.
There is this guy name Mr Goh ( a very senior flyer ) would bring his generator, hot water boiler for his tea time ( he normally annouce "Tea Time" when every flier are taking a break ), huge umbrella and all the tools which he had it in his van just incase if others may have difficulties with their aircraft, he's there to help them out. By the way, he just loves flying warbirds and he had a beautiful collection of it. ( will post some of his plane photos )
The flying field have all kinds of aircrafts, electric powered to turbine helicopters, warbirds, 3D flying planes, aerobatic planes and gliders.
If you are happen to be or living in singapore, you should make a trip down during the weekend and if you are interested in flying the models, there are always someone around to help you. Believe me when I say it that this hobby is very addictive...i mean very very very addictive...hehe
