Just got my 6th new electric powered glider from www.soaringcomposites.com
Apparently i have been eyeing on this beautiful glider for weeks till finally Soaring Composites got the distributorship for Reichard Modells.cz
On the building site of the this kit, it was very much different compared to my other models which is from a Japanese manufacturer (Pilot, V-pro or OK models kits).
The parts which came with the kit are quite complete ( accept for some little modifications here and there ) but without a proper building manual. It's only a couple of pages which idicated the down thrust angle of the firewall mount and of course the CG indication. Seriously, this kit is way for advance to intermediate pilots.
Did a maiden flight yesterday with a help of a friend ( the owner of soaring composites ) and it went up beautifully but was unable to try out the full potential of the glider as the weather was not in favour. Probably will do it this coming weekend.

ReplyDeleteYou have brought back the joy of flying gliders at BBAFC. There are more fliers taking glider flying now. The eagles living in the area often come near to the site to investigate these new 'birds' that have intr.uded into their aispace. The best part of each flight is when the glider decends rapidly and finally slows down to come in for a smooth landing.
